Over the past year, I have fallen in love with capsule wardrobes. I enjoy the process of putting them together and love the ease of getting ready once I have selected my capsule wardrobe pieces for the season.
This spring is no different, I have planned on my outfits and makes, and have been wearing and posting about them over on Instagram. I find that getting ready in the morning is a lot easier. All I have to do is open my closet and pick a few coordinating pieces to wear for the day. This simplifies getting ready since I’m either working from home or watching my three-year-old.
How Many Pieces Do I Include In My Capsule Wardrobe?
When I put together a capsule wardrobe for a season, I typically include around 40 pieces of clothing (I don’t include shoes in my number). But for the next 15 days, I’m going to be doing something a little bit different. Yesterday, Taylor, from Modest Blondie, posted about her quarantine 15×15 outfit challenge, and I immediately wanted to join. So I quickly reviewed my current capsule wardrobe and narrowed it down to 15 pieces. While I’m not leaving the house much these days, I also included 2 pairs of shoes in that number.
*I believe her 15×15 challenge will extend past 15 days, but I plan to participate in #memademay on Instagram, so I will only be doing the challenge for the next two weeks.
Why Am I Doing This 15-Day Capsule Wardrobe Challenge?
And after combining pieces to take these photos, I found that I have over 25 combinations to wear over the next two weeks!
