Welcome to the first month of Sew my Style 2020! Each year, I look forward to January. It’s time to jump into projects and work on new goals that I’ve set for myself! I don’t know about you, but January is flying by – we’re already halfway through the month! Yikes. But the good news is, you still have time to make your January Sew My Style (#sms20) make! This month, we’re focusing on the Tania Culottes by Megan Nielson and the Kortney Bodysuit by Rad Patterns.
For January, I’m the featured blogger and will be talking to you all about the Tania Culottes! Since we’re only partway through the month, I wanted to provide you with some inspiration for your Tania Culottes!
The first question you might be asking yourself is: why should I make culottes in the winter? (if it’s winter near you) And the answer is honestly quite simple: you can wear tights under your culottes, or if you’re like me, you can make them with spring in mind! 🙂 If you’re still not sure what style you’d like to make, I’ve provided you with some inspirational images below.

Faux jumpsuits and dresses are some of my favorite makes because they’re so incredibly versatile! What’s your favorite from the images below? I love the bottom left polka-dot!

The right prints can add so much character to your wardrobe. I love the idea of adding floral culottes to my wardrobe. Which one is your favorite?
Have you decided to make a pair of culottes? If so, are you going to go for a fun and bold print (perfect for #sewfancypants2020), or are you planning on making a wardrobe basic like me? Let me know in the comments below or over on Instagram.
